Breakfast at Schloss Puchberg, and a law that reaches water and power
A client from the construction industry brought us to Infotech's IT Business Breakfast in Wels on 1 October 2026. One talk on its programme, on Austria's new NIS law, went straight to the sectors we work in.

A client from the construction industry forwarded us an invitation to breakfast in a castle. On the first day of October we went with them to Schloss Puchberg, in Wels, for Infotech's IT Business Breakfast in the Hofsaal of the castle's education centre. We admire that team. It runs its building sites with care, and it is quick to put new tools to work in its own office.
Infotech, an IT, cloud and security provider from Ried im Innkreis, had invited businesses from the Wels region to a free morning of short talks, from virtualisation to managed AI with its partner headwAI. One talk on its programme reached straight into our work. Patrick Kühtreiber was listed to speak on what businesses should do now that NIS2, the EU directive on network and information security, has become Austrian law. Infotech's photographs of that talk show a slide on registration under the new law, due by 31 December 2026.
Austria's new law covers energy, drinking water and waste water. Those sectors sit at the centre of our practice, where we advise on water and power systems and our software practice builds internal tools for the firms we work for.
We left before the networking ended. Calls were waiting that afternoon. A law about network security now reaches the kind of water and power systems we deliver.
